My name is Jenny and I've been soaker knitting for a year or so. I started knitting when I was a little girl but never learned any of the more complicated stitches. I really enjoy knitting though and knit at every opportunity, basically carrying it with me everywhere in the diaper bag.

I'm exciting to meet other knitting mamas like me! My daughter is now 17 months old and we adopted her from China in December of last year. I love being a mom and feel this has made my life finally complete. We just submitted the paperwork to adopt a 2nd time, so we'll have 2 girls by next fall sometime (2005 I mean). Here was our adoption paperwork site for our first adoption, in case anyone else is interested in adopting:

I used to sell soakers on a regular basis, but now I just make them as I find the time, and I'll be stocking occasionally using Karen's Hyena Cart (it's great and very affordable!) Here's my HyenaCart store:

Nice to meet you all!

Hi!
It's funny that you posted here, cause I think I was just thinking about you.
Are you "Jenny adopt China?" If you are, I came across your longies pattern and was thinking of trying it (they look nice :) but the size is too small and I'm too much of a novice to figure out how to make it bigger. Also, do you recommend a needle size and yarn?

Yes, I'm also Jenny_adoptChina! I can't even remember the link to my longies pattern right now to check it out for you, but I bet I used size 5 needles since that's what I usually use. I sometimes use size 3 also, but that would make it even smaller :) I wasn't very good at pattern-writing at that point, so hopefully I'm improving some with each pattern I make.

Oh, and I would recommend Paton's Classic Merino for the longies pattern. I have some well-used ones with that yarn. Cascade 220 would be another option, and there are lots of colors available.
