I've never done one. They're sooo cool, but are they hard? I've been looking @ instructions on about.com, it doesn't look complicated, but I figure there must be a catch. Oh, and do you need the special cable needles or can you use a dpn? Oh, Pam, if only you hadn't posted such cuted cabled things! I was awake @ 4am for a nurse, thinking about cables... :nut

it's not hard, you just need to really pay attention to what you are doing, becuase you can lose track of where you are pretty easily. And I never use a cable needle, I either use nothing (I know, I'm daring!) or I use a 5" DPN.

You just let the stitches sit on top (or behind) off the needle?

i've done that use nothing thing before and loathed myself for it. ugh. but then again i had cats at the time. biiiig mistake.
i use a cable needle now, becuase i like the little hooky thing.
