Some of you might remember my lovely purple yarn with grape KA....well I got some more of it from my "source" in Canada....and I think she slipped me some "bad s*&^"
It isn't dry but I will post pictures.....No one would even guess it was the same KA color....And we are talking miles apart...way more red tone to it.....I know I used more KA and more yarn but as much as this is off I suspect that they changed the formula or my friend slipped my some US or generic......

And I was really hoping the two would "blend"....which is probably why they AREN'T...I swear when I am not trying I get great colors.......

I will edit when the yarn is dry...which could be weeks given our rainy drizzly weather.

Okay, here is the picture.....the bottom one is the first time I used the C KA...the other two are from my last experiment. (First was done w/ 2 packets and second was done w/ about 3 packets)

I remember a while back, not sure if it was here or on wool soaker group, some discussion of them trying to make all ka uniform, it being made in the same place and just packaged differently for the different markets, am I right? That's probably what you've been sent Pam :(

"when the yarn is dry...which could be weeks given our rainy drizzly weather."

Are you sure you haven't already moved to Manchester?

I wonder if that is the case with the KA- but I thought the differences were due to different restrictions on the dyes they can use in the various countries...And apparently the yucky US crap won? (Actually this is more like a blending so I wonder if perhaps part of this batch was one and part the other...She had to put them all together in a baggie and tell customs it was "textile" dye after 3 attempts to mail me KA....Sure terrorists are sending tainted KA from Canada...)

Manchester would at least provide me some new and interesting scenery....My guess is that at least the skies are the same....

That is really weird! The Canadian grape we got a few months ago from my friend in Canada is definitely different than the US grape. It is such a pretty purple!
