I feel like we should be inclusive of all yarn arts... but 'knit for the cure' is kind of handy and I can get the URL. Thoughts?

don't flame me, but i think a lot of non-stitchers lump crocheting in with the general term of knitting. am i wrong?

You are correct in your statement..which has infuriated me many times....<sigh>...although the ones that REALLY irk me are the ones who (after I"ve politely stated, no this is crochet) say, "same thing" :getu :getu

Hooking being my true love and all, I was a teensy bit put off by knit for the cure, and then even more because I thought oh, wouldn't that be cute if I found the time to make a beautiful bald cancer survivor woman doll to donate, and then I talked to my sister and we decided to donate the proceeds from the pink butterfly babies that we are making this week and blah blah, but I totally understand that most everyone here knits and the convenience of the catchy phrase and all that. I always feel like the outsider anyways snow I don't mean that in a negative way, it fuels my creativity. :superb So basically, I think it's fine. :bigups:

I think that commercially, knitforthecure is more catchy. I think in my heart and in the hearts of all of us, we know and understand that our hookers provide us with gifts unique to hooking. We love hookers.

(are you laughing because I am. Imagine reading that out of context.)

We can have a sister site, "Hooking for Good". ;)
