I'm off to talk to Marnie about setting up our site, but until it's up, can we brainstorm ideas for the banner?

We're doing the walking and the knitting for you! Come help us support the fight against Breast Cancer.
?
Kind of long, but hey, it is late afternoon and I'm tired. :LOL

I wonder what you could make with 60 miles of yarn? I wonder how we can tie that in to our cause?
I also like the quote by Margaret Mead about not underestimating that the acts of a few caring individuals can change the world--perhaps we should use that but tweak it so that we are talking about not underestimating that the stitches of a few caring artisans can change the world/make a difference.

Maybe make a goal of 60 projects? One for each mile walked?
that should be easy for our over 350 members!!!!

How about keeping track of how many miles of yarn we use for our projects. Most skeins list approximate yardage and it's easy enought to convert it to miles. It could be our "Love across the miles" campaign. Women from all over the world coming together to knit for a cause.....
Then they could donate for every mile of yarn used or buy a project, etc!
Ahem, countries if you don't mind Katie ;)

Yes, yes...even more miles across countries!
I was thinking of 'a stitch in time saves lives' while I was up with the baby in the night - too tacky?

i loved Jessie's quote about "let me be your legs." i'd like to include something like that, something to remind us that this isn't just about a bunch of knitters getting together to raise some money but that we were inspired by one woman's commitment to take on a physical challenge. i'd like to keep her in mind.
