Over here at the Wooly Wonder Forums, we're kicking off a big project (http://woolywonder.com/3day), and we need a volunteer genius. Is it you?

My vision for the project: Our own Jesse/Indiegirl is training for the Seattle Breast Cancer 3-Day for the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation (http://www.kintera.org/faf/home/default.asp?ievent=61814). She needs to raise $2,100 to participate. (https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=61814&lis=1&kntae61814=DAC7 62497CA942B6831431D7C5A96ED9&supId=70755199) I'd like to put the creativity and resources of our forum behind her.

1. "Knit for the Cure" -- we raise funds through knitting (selling our work and donating funds, encouraging direct donations through her link, drawings, etc.)
2. spread information about Breast Cancer Awareness
3. Highly publicize the work we are doing through various venues:
Ongoing Training blog written by Jesse and published by our volunteers.
Fundraising page with updates.
Spread the word by sharing clever graphics online: knitting blogs, banners, links, etc. to bring donors to our site and to Jesse's Fundraising Page (https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=61814&lis=1&kntae61814=DAC7 62497CA942B6831431D7C5A96ED9&supId=70755199)

This would be a highly visible but unpaid position. You could put a link on the pages crediting your work, hopefully bringing in business for you.

You:

Excellent communication skills.
Creativity.
Handy with the HTML.
Responsible.

I already have a volunteer beginning to collect information (https://www.kintera.org/faf/donorReg/donorPledge.asp?ievent=61814&lis=1&kntae61814=DAC7 62497CA942B6831431D7C5A96ED9&supId=70755199). *Yay Julia* You will be responsible for the techy stuff but we'll get you the information you need.

Please PM me if you are interested!

Knit for the Cure! (Or some other slogan TBD!)

I would love to volunteer, Pam, especially with the women in my family who have been affected by breast cancer. I just don't know how reliable I can be right now. I would probably be better off making some of the items in the Breast Cancer Knitty booklet.
