Newbie wrap pattern

I want to make a wrap pattern for those PG mamas that are just learning to knit.

I'm working on a simple garter stitch wrap that's knit side to side.

Do prefolds come standard sizes; newborn, medium, toddler?

Is there any reason, off the top of your head, this wouldn't work?

I think that sounds great. I would make one up just for fun and pin it over a prefold to see how it works (I'd be a bit concerned that without some shaping, you would get gaps around the legs but I could be completely off-base).

And yes, prefolds do come in standard sizes. Good luck with this project!

Need a pattern tester? With 3 in dipes I have a wide size range to choose from.... ;)

I've been toying with the same idea. I wonder if a Snappi would eat the yarn?

I hope T doesn't see this, but I use a snappi on my ribby wraps. I have compulsion issues about exactly where to put the buttons. Heaven forbid I have to button asymetrically at any point in time.

anyway, the snappi doesn't seem to hurt them, but it might depend on the yarn

I'm glad you posted that. I made a nb one for the new baby and haven't sewn on the buttons yet. I was thinking about pinning it for awhile, but I might try snappis.

There's a wrap out there (turtle something?) that is for use with pins and *maybe* snappis too.
