*k2tog, yo*
knit two together, yarn over
I don't really know what knit two together means. I can find how to do a yarn over stitch, but it seems counter productive to knitting 2 together--because isn't a yo stitch a way to increase stitches?
Help!
Thanks!

Ok, I see how to k2tog and I see how to yo. What I can't figure out is how to combine them. Isn't that what I am doing when the pattern says k2tog, yo?
Thanks for your help, Pamela.

you do them sequentially, not combined. K2t0g takes out a stitch and YO adds one and makes a hole. then you are back to your same number of stitches.
make sense? I'm nak. xo

So there's good news and bad news...the good news is that I successfully learned how to yo. The bad news is that it was two rows too late. I frogged the damn thing and have started over. But I'm learning!!!

Learning is good! frogging is a necessary part of that process, unfortunately!
I think our lightbulb icon looks... umm... weird... :lookroun:
