I am wanting to dye some Cascade Eco for newbette. It will be my background project for now (knitting whatever it is) but I am anxious to start dyeing. I just can't decide. I've always LOVED hot pink and orange together. But I also like hot pink and a nice, bright limy green.

K, so far I think I'll divide the skein in half, then one half into halves. Then I'll do the big part pink and the others one green one orange, and I should have enough to do one each pink/orange and pink/green. Not sure this post makes sense... boys are fighting again.....

I'm using the neon food coloring that Tami used for her dicey pants for the pink and green and good old KA for the orange... IMO you can't beat that orange. :D I know... Booooring! LOL

I wonder what orange you would get if you mixed the neon pink and some yellow? Too bad they don't have a Neon yellow....

Hard to get good pics of these colors, but here ya go. Wish the pink were more fuschia (sp??) but that's hard to do with natural colored yarn. Can't wait to start working on them. :D

Gorgeous!!!!! I've been able to get a good fuchsia by using Jacquard Hot Fuchsia mixed with just a touch of Jet Black. Something about the black tones down the "neon-ness" of the pink just enough to look great :pink

Thanks Susan... I wondered if adding a tad of blue might have helped...never thought of black.

Around here they have it at WalMart and the local grocery chain (HyVee) but the grocery store is nearly twice the price of WalMart!

ehh, they don't have it at my grocery store (Giant). I'll have to beg someone to look at Walmart for me. ;)

ask about it at the grocery store. It is McCormick brand and I am pretty sure they would carry the regular colors...so I would think they might order it in if people asked. (I'd ask everyone there about it- maybe they'll think a lot of people are asking for it.) With Easter coming I think they would like to have it for egg coloring....

If not, pm me and maybe we can work something out to get you some...it can't cost too much to ship..I think it was 1.99 at Walmart...
