Oooooo how fun! If it were closer to my neck of the woods I definitely would go. Somehow I don't think DH would be for a mini knitting vacation for myself  And my nursing 18 month old would not be a happy camper either :balloon
I hope some other knitting people can go from this board. That would be SO fun!

Cool! I think there are other Stitches conventions around the US... I wonder how we can find out about those? I didn't look at the site too hard (if you can't tell...I'm lazy this am).

there are 2 stitches each year (and then there's camp, LOL) There's Stitches West, Stitches Midwest (I think it's usually in Chicago) and then there's Stitches East, which always used to be right near me in Valley Forge, PA, but last year was in Atlantic City, NJ. Not sure yet where it'll be this year. It's always in fall soemtime, October usually. I think Midwest is usually in late spring, or maybe summer?
And then there's all the sheep and woolf estivals ;) We've already discussed the Maryland Sheep & Wool, which is the largest. Then there's Rhinbeck, in NY in teh Fall. THere's Common Ground (yes, the one that I lost my bag at, that we always plan our vacation around in Maine, LOL) And then countless other littleler ones around the country. Google sheep and wool festival and you'll get tons of links ;)

Oh darn! My corporate headquarters are right down the street, and we used to live right near there! That would have been so awesome!

I want to go to the one in Atlantic City. Tom's family (and where we used to live) are all in Southern Jersey so we could get that out of the way, too.
hmmmm...is it sad when you plan family visits around knitting festivals? LOL
