Awesome!!! I tried the kitchener-type bind off for ribbing and it never comes out right. I will be doing it this way from now on!

I usually go up 2 sizes in needles on the cast off and that works really well, too :)

i've tried the up 2 sizes thing and that works to make it not-too-tight but not stretchy, if you know what i mean.

I find that I need to go up at least 4 sizes and make sure I cast off VERY loosely. I use a size 4 for the leg openings and I use a 9 to bind off.

Here's an easy and stretchy cast off:
EZ's sewn cast off (http://www.socknitters.com/toe-up/lessonsix.htm), read through Denise's variation for the set up stitch in circular knitting or else it won't look good.

This bind off is really easy to do and does the job well. :)

I usually go up one size and cast off loosely, but I want to try that m1 method next time I cast off ribbing.
