search feature?

Does anyone else have trouble with it? I can never search and find what I'm looking for... Well, not often. Wondered if it was just me.

I don't have much trouble, it works for me. But I recently deleted stuff, so that may be why you're having trouble. I "pruned' some old topics. xoxo

Well, I was searching for lauira's cuff finishing tutorial. It says those words in the title. I searched for "cuff", then "finishing" then "tutorial" and never got that. I finally just looked through her old posts to get it. Maybe I have the wrong box clicked or something. I don't know.

Did you click the right button? If you type in the words for your search then press enter it will search for user name. You have too scroll down to the "search" button and click it. I was having trouble before I realized that I kept searching for user names not words in posts.

Mental note to check with site guru. That can be fixed so the default button is search, I'm sure!

I have had trouble too sometimes...I was looking for one of the peace fleece posts...ended up having to find it by looking for the poster's stuff.....Susan posts a LOT BTW!

Seriously, I am on here way too much! If I spent as much time knitting as I did reading and posting here, I could probably get 3 times as much knitting done.

I was afraid of that! I hope no one is ever searching for something they know I posted through all my messages though!

I too need a computer fast.....I don't get anything done once I get sucked into this machine. I really want to get so I am just checking in the evening...but I know there would be something like 300 messages to deal with.....

I get better results Searching when I click the option to "Search for all terms" under the box I type the words in. Let me know how that works.
