I don't care much for crochet, though I can do it just fine, mainly because I don't like the look. So I decided to mess around with Tunisian stockinette, which is done on an afghan hook & looks like knitting. Anyone else do Tunisian crochet?

I've never heard of Tunisian before, but I did make ds a baby afghan with an afghan hook and I was thinking that it looked a lot like knit - took forever like knit too! lol Can you use an afghan hook to make more than just afghans? It might be nice for clothing...know of any patterns?

I haven't tried Tunisian yet, although I'm sure I'll get around to it one day! When I first got into crochet, I had the same problem with that as I did with knitting; having to keep more than one loop going at once. (When I was a kid just learning to knit, I could NEVER keep all those loops on the needles!) Crochet let me get into these textile arts while only having to keep track of one stitch at a time - and it wasn't a huge deal if I dropped it.

But now that I think I can handle knitting, I figure once that starts boring me  , I'll probably try out Tunisian.
