i'm going to order the pattern soon but i need to order the supplies first. it says "For the leg cuffs you will need size three double points, two circs or a 40” circ, depending on the method you like to use for knitting small circumference items". which do you recommend? is it two size 3 double points, two size 3 16" circs or 1 40" size 3 circ?

for the wonderpants, it says: 1 40-inch US
i'm going down to order the stuff in person this afternoon, since it will take at least a week to get here. i've never used doublepoints or two circs before.

It's A, B or C - (A) 40" circular, (B) two circulars, or (C) dpns...in the size you need in order to get the correct gauge for that area whatever that size may be.

yes, any of those choices, in a seven, if you are using the lightweight yarn.

depends who you ask.

I hate dpns. other love dpns. I love magic loop. Many hate magic loop. Have you checked out the instructions for the various methods? I think there are some links in 'technique links'

I like the Magic Loop. I'm using dpns at the moment because my yarn is in a ball so I only have one end available and I didn't feel like coming up with a second ball of yarn to use for the Magic Loop. Two circs are a great idea, but you have to have two circs the same size (not necessarily the same length). They also require a second ball of yarn...

i'm very intimidated by DPNs. but for the magic loop and two circs, i need my yarn in two balls? i'm looking at the techniques forum and on the using 1 long circ page, it says you can also use a 36" circ. would that work for this?
