I wanted to update everyone!
FUNDRAISING: We are taking a short break for the holidays to allow everyone to relax, no definite date as to when we will resume but probably mid-January.
ADOPTION: Stephan got the extention for his medical visa, he will be covered under the US government until July 6th!!! This is awesome news as the government gives VERY little extensions!! This is also great news as we have even more time to raise money, though we want to get it all ASAP. We have transfered some money from the charity accounts into Stephans personal account which is linked to his personal savings account. This amount will cover enough to get the adoption started(file applications and talk with the social worker), after that we will know the exact amount we will need.
STEPHAN: He is doing well, he had a lapse when the baby was born because while Leslie was in the hospital he had to stay with his Godparents, but he is recovering well and appears to enjoy baby Journey. His therapists believe he has Autism and want to start diagnosing that, which means on top of the 5 sessions a week he has with some sort of therapist, he will now be being evaluated adn possibly having more treatments. Please pray that everything will smooth over.

Thank you for your support!!!

What a beautiful picture! So glad to hear things are going well. I hope we can raise enough money to keep him with his US family indefinitly.

we should be able to! I knew I forgot something, but our goal is 6,000(because thats the cost of the average adoption from Haiti) and we've raised *almost* 4,000!!!!!!

Wow! I am so proud that our very generous CD'ing community was able to raise almost $4,000 so far!

I would be more than happy to donate something again after the holidays for another auction or raffle :) Right now I'm thinking a raffle for an embellished custom may raise more money than an auction. Just let me know when you're ready.
