When we were in the hospital with Levi, we met a lot of little kids. A lot of kids who have bad problems. I found out that some knittin' ladies knit blankets for the kids who then get to keep them and feel really special and loved and walk around with their blankets draped over them, and I thought this was nice, so, after the holidays I'm going to make some for the pediatric ward and thought I'd throw out the idea in case anyone else would like to join in. :pink Small blankets can me made with scraps, and I'm sure your own local hospital would take them. Maybe we could do a knit/crochet-a-long for charity to start off the new year?

My mom and I make a steady stream of preemie booties for the NICU over here...booties are the only thing the babies wear in an incubator here. A lot of parents keep the booties as a keepsake forever.
