I just got the Wooly Wonder pattern and reading through I may be able to manage until I start to use two balls of wool at the same time and then my brain shut down completely!

As a beginner to circular knitting, is the LTK pattern for longies easier than the WW one? Anyone tried both?

Help!

I don't have the LTK pattern, but I just did a pair of shorts with Pamela's pattern and I didn't do them with two balls. I did one leg at a time and it worked out fine. (Except I always have trouble remembering how many rows I did and am afraid that I will get one longer than the other.)

i use these: http://joann.com/catalog.jhtml?CATID=82325&PRODID=47144

for counting rows. i clip one on every 5th row. you can also use them as regular stitch markers.

I keep a knitting notebook in my knitting bag and I make a mark for every row as soon as I start it :LOL

I did it!! It was a bit intimidating at first but I just went for it. I'd never done magic loop before but just followed Pam's instructions and voila! I'm a magic looper.

I've never done LTK, but Pam's patterns are easy to follow for newer knitters!!

I have both, and I think they're about the same. The LTK doesn't talk about the Magic Loop for the legs, but there is no reason why you couldn't do it. The LTK does the short rows differently as well as the crotch. Otherwise they are about the same.

As for the two balls, I just used the yarn from the outside of my skein as well as the one I'd been using from the inside. In other words, I used both tails from the skein I was using and called it a day - no splitting into two balls or anything like that.

I agree with Tana :)

I think both have the same difficulty level. Also both Pam and Theresa offer great pattern support :fluffy
