What do I do about this Addi????

I just bought another Addi turbo and I LOVE LOVE LOVE every other one I have (which is about 12...)well...here's the problem. One of the needle tips is scratchy and keeps irritating me! What would you do?? I REALLY don't want to drive all the way down to the LYS I bought it from since I have to then pay for parking PLUS it's half an hour away, BUT, I'm equally as impatient about getting a replacement. What would you do???

try filing it? or rub it with sandpaper?

or try rubbing some waxed paper on it to grease it up?

Take it back! I know it's a big pain, but you'll probably be happier in the long run, and get what you want faster. Plus, if you try to smooth it yourself, they might not accept it as a return.

I have a question along the same lines... well kinda. I got a 40" size 6 and I love it. I have used it to make 2 pants and a soaker. But on one of the needles there is discoloration from my hand. SO there are about 3 finger marks. Is this normal? It doesn't feel any different but I haven't been using it for 5 years, YK? I have only had it about a month or less.

I had a burr like that on one of my Addi's and the LYS was more than happy to exchange it--apparently Addi wants them to send back any bad needles, so the LYS doesn't even have to cover the replacement cost.

I'm so glad that Addi wants to know about these problems. This needle even has a funky connection from the cable to the needle. It catches my yarn.

Wish me luck and no temper tantrums w/the kids....my 2 1/2 year old is a "wee bit spunky."
