I have a crocheted version of this that my dad's godmother made me when I was about 5 years old. I used to play with it all the time. It's a tad different though. The bottom is made out of a plastic bottle that the top was cut off of - then she made holes around the top of that to add a crochet outside to it (not sure what that's called - they are on bassinets) and there was a chain going through that so you could flip up the "dress" and pull tight to make it a purse. There was also a little "hood" thing to it, like you see on a bassinet...I really can't think of what anything is called today lol.

Oh that is sooooo cute. My baby girl (ok so she is 5 now and has a baby sister, but that isn't the point) would adore that. How does the pattern look? I am so there if it is good :dance

The pattern looks pretty staightforward. The hearts are done in fairisle which I've never done- but, I love to try something new!! I have to finish a poncho first that I've been knitting before I start this.
