 i fudged on my math for my Eco guage and didn't cast on enough stitches. It'll be OK for the waist but I'm going to have to get them a little bigger in the body to go over her hips (and I hope the smaller waist will actually go OVER her hips to get them on!).

Where can I hide some increases? I'm going to have to increase about 3 inches, which will be about 15-16 stitches (4.75 st/inch). :goodgrief I've never had to do this! Woops. :moon :faint

Should I kfab somewhere? I'm going to do short rows too which means it's gonna be extra tricky. I *really* wanted these to be WonderPants but is there any way I can with having to do increases?

Any thoughts pattern masters?

I did my last pair of wonderpants with increases in the body and I love them. I will always make them that way now. I put them right after the ribbing where the purl stitches are. I am NO expert (far far from it) but I would think that as long as you used a decent, non hole making increase you should be fine. I think it is M1L that blends with stockinette, but I could very well be wrong on that. Good luck, I hope they end up fitting really well.

yes you can add increases into the wonderpants pattern as long as you stick to Pam's multiple of 4 rule for the number of stitches you end up with (else you'll have one leg fatter than the other later on LOL). After the waistband sounds good and the increase Pam calls M1L will be a good, virtually invisible, increase it's the type of increase I usually use for unspecified increases as it doesn't leave a hole and I find it easier than KFB, especially on bigger needles.
