Ok, I have to admit I have acrylic soakers in my stash. Not even nice acrylic, but the really cheap stuff. I initially got it to practice with, but I ended up liking it. Does this make me a bad knitting mama? It doesn't stretch out like my wool, can be thrown in the washer & dryer & lasts just as long on my girls. I don't think I'll ever give up wool because it's just too much fun, but I have guilt about my mixed stash... Does anyone else out there have these in their stash? :?:

I've made acrylic soaker pants for a vegan mama, but I don't own an acrylic soaker. :D

i do. we also have several acrylic/wool combo soakers. for me, at least, they work the same. the thing i like about them is you can just throw them in the washer and dryer. you can get some cool colors too. i bought some chunky acrylic yarn to make isabella pants for this winter, in bright verigated colors. plus, acrylic yarn is cheap LOL!!!!

i don't usually sell them, just make them for ourselves.

You make me feel better! It seems like one of my girls always hits her soaker if she poops while it's on. So sad to see poopy soakers! So nice to pop them in the wash!

I think acrylic is ok. It's also good for babies with wool allergies:) :sigh:

I do like my acrylic soakers, especially at our exlpodo-poop stage. The only problem is if they really have a large pee - it goes right through, if the stream is strong enough. (no absorbsion) But then again, if they go that much my wool doesn't hold up either! This doesn't happen with us very often. If I had a doubler in there I'm sure it wouldn' t happen at all.
