we love Canadian grape koolaid!

We've only done playsilks so far but the difference between it and US grape is so dramatic that we cannot wait to do yarn later this week. I cannot believe how different it is. Even the smell! Canadian grape smells kind of like Bubblelicious bubble gum according to Liam..not nearly as gross as ours. We only used one packet and got the most beautiful, drop-dead gorgeous shades of purple on our silks. We are so so so happy, especially since our Canadian friend sent us like 50 packets of it! YAY! We have a lot of strawberry to play with too.. haven't tested it yet though!

We finally have a beautiful, easy to obtain purple with food grade dye! Purple is Liam's favorite color so this has been a fairly critical goal for us..we didn't want to tinker with acid dyes!

When did you get your KA from Canada..I just a had a package refused by Canada post per the new terrorism guidelines..... Apparently you need persmission from the FDA in order to ship "foods" to the US.

Really? One of my girlfriends in Canada just shipped me a box of it! She shipped me about 50 packets each of grape and strawberry. I traded her a brand new Elbee diaper for it, and I had to pay a little more in shipping :) She honestly wrote "drink mix" on the customs form and it came through just fine. It only took about a week to get here too.

Well my friend has some wacky people working at her PO...we have all sorts of challenges when shipping things to the states. And I honestly don't think that US customs is going to break into a box ....esp. since I am pretty sure the stuff actually originates in the US>
