I need help with soaker patterns please

I was asked to make some knitted soaker and longies for my grandaughter and niece. I really know nothing about them so any help you could share with me would be so appreciated. I am now on the hunt for different patterns so I can make several varieties and let them try them on the babies to see which ones are better. I have seen several for sale on the internet that are really nice and as much as I would love to purchase these patterns, it is not possible at this time since my daughter and grandaughter have moved in with me and money is now tight. Any help in finding free patterns would be greatly appreiated. Thank you for you help and advice.

Go to the patterns forum and look for a thread titled 'all the free patterns i've ever seen on the internet' or something like that from kool sheep mama! There are plenty of patterns around for free. :two
