I made a hat to match a soaker and I'm a little concerned that the hat is too "long" The soaker measures 17" hips, 17" rise. The hat has a circumference of 17" with the brim to brim over the head measured 13"
I could shorten the hat if needed. Any hat experts out there???
Thanks!
Elizabeth

dolls heads are too small in conparison to babies heads! 13" doesnt sound like a lot, I just made my 7MO DD a hat with a 15" over head measurement. I like longer hats as the knit grows with the babies head in diameter but it gets to short to fit the head quite quick.

I think I've seen patterns with 4 or 5 inches on the side before you start decreasing so you should be okay.

Thanks Pamela! I'll print that out and use it as a guide.
