Challenges of sweater design

Well, I'm working on designing my very first sweater: knit bottom up in the round, with raglan sleeves and v neck. I am curious if anyone has any wisdom to share. What challenges have you faced and overcome? I would like to avoid common errors.

I'm using EZ's knitting without tears and Righetti's Sweater Design as textbooks and guides as I go.

So any tips? Any warnings?

Pam, it's pretty straighforward! Not hard at all. I am through with the body on my sweater, and did not run into any issues at all. Let EZ hold your hand, and "knit on".
