Hiya everyone! My name is Melissa I am a 41 year old NICU nurse , married to my best friend Chris and have two adopted daughters who were once my patients in the NICU. We are expecting a girl in August so we are busy making fitted cloth diapers, bought a few aristocrat wool diaper covers and I am attempting to make a wool crochet/knit soaker. Do these soakers work well even if they are hand knitted /crocheted , granted that you lanolize them ?

I found a cute pattern on the internet and I have crocheted the front and back and now I need to figure out how to work on the waist band that will be knitted on , so if anyone can explain how to go from a crocheted piece that I have already fastened off to starting the knitting portion I would greatly appreciate it , this is the pattern I am using.

Welcome! You need to pick up stitches as in a neckband.

Thank You all for your warm welcome to your group :)

How cool to see that I am not the only NICU nurse in our group :) I am glad to hear that the soakers do work well , thank you. Now I just need to go to my local knitting store so they can help me out with showing me what the pattern tells me to do :)

I want to add one of those cool emoticons but I am not sure how to do that , any suggestions would be appreciated :)
