I LOVE it! :love I find that I have so many projects going at once that I resort to plastic grocery bags :bag

I use my mom about town diaper bag as my knitting bag. It didn't work for me as a diaper bag, but it's great for my knitting!

I use a back pack that was formerly my diaper bag. It is perfect with the right pockets for everything I need. I think there are 5 knitting magazines in there now.

You could make a pattern for a felted knitting bag :pink I think the shape of the bag pictured would be awesome, only in felted wool. I desperatly need a new bag too, so if you need testers. . .

ahem, if meredith ever finishes testing the felted bag pattern I wrote up, y'all could use the largest size of that ;) (BTW, tongue is planted firmly in cheek there, I'm totally NOT pressuring meredith at all!!!)

I have many bags, one favorite is my smaller one..I got the idea from one I saw online, but refused (well, dh refused to let me..<sigh>...he seems to think I have invested too much in my yarn, needles, hooks..dare I say more? I don't know what his problem is... ) to spend the $$ on buying it. I'll describe, cause I'm just to tired and lazy tonight to take a pic... :)

It goes around your waist like a fanny pack (great for htose of us w/AMPLE waists  ) Has a drawstring (encased) at the top. Has snaps to snap around your yarn (I put 3 in there, the layd that makes them only puts one!) Two for yarn and one to hold circs, and a velcroed pocket. All made out of tapestry and lined w/muslin. Looks quite profession..IMNSHO.. :brow :)

But I do like your bags.. :) I'm planning on making another bag. I made one from a bought pattern that I *love* and use currently as a purse, but it's falling apart, so (oh shucky darn) I'll have to make another one! :D Hrm..what materials should I use this time??? :chin It's a quilted bag...I did it like a crazy quilt..had a BLAST doing it.. :)

tammy

Oh those are beautiful bags. You could sew your own. I've seen those types of bag patterns in the quilting stores.

It jogged my memory. I have a really cool bag pattern up w/ my sewing stuff in my attic. It has tons of pockets in it. Now when am I going to find time to make me one?

Currently I am using my canvas Spar grocery bag that I got in europe. But it has no pockets, so all my stuff gets jumbled :(

These are my current bags. My FAVORITE is the brown leather bag. It has a drawstring closure and lots of room for yarn and my knitting assessories pouch.

currently i am using a neon green and aqua rubber bag that came free from Clinique. my mom gave it to me. it's just a simple tote but it has a change purse attached to a strap like a key chain and i put my folding scissors, stitch markers, tape measure in there.

i never take it out of the house, though, because let's face it, it was a free rubber bag from clinique that my mom didn't want.

some day i'll have something nice.

I made myself a French Market bag and it is the perfect size to hold my projects. I usually only have one (or two at the most) going at once.

It also makes a great fashion statement when you go to knitting groups. Both times I've walked into the coffeeshop and the knitters have spotted me long before I spotted them because they see my bag and are drooling over it. It's so fun! If it happens once more, I'm going to be addicted to joining knitting groups...

I have no idea wha the name of them are..but I do know that I"ve seen them around...Hrm....I can see the picture of the knitting lady on there too...

If I find the site, I'll point you to it (but you could make yourself one if you have a machine..)

Right now I am using my Grandma's old knitting bag which is really cool because she is the one who taught me to knit :mwah BUT it is a little on the small side and is just one big open area so I'm constantly digging through it trying to find something.

The felted bag pattern sounds pretty neat!!!
