quick kitchener question

I just finished a pair of HSY pants and when I kitchenered the cr*tch it didn't really work out. Should I do the kitchener when the pants are right side out or do I need to turn them inside out??? I turned them inside out this time but I had issues. Good thing it's not in a noticable spot!!!

While we're at it, how do you all close up the holes that happen on either side of the kitchenered section??

I kitchener with it turn right side out and someone here (Pam I think) said you can duplicate stitch the holes.

right side out unless you know how to do it backwards. :)
