wooden needle case?

I've noticed recently that these old Dutch wooden round needle cases with painting/engraving on them go for big bucks on ebay. Does anyone know why?! I am Dutch, I have at least 1 that I know of...probably 2 if I have a look around but I do't have a clue why they would be so special.
Ok, I probably wouldnt sell them as I inhereted them from my grandmothers....maybe that the deal, they're old?!
