I have quite a bit of several different shades of orange and am thinking I might want to do something to alter the color--- it is a bit too bright for anything but halloween pants....
Any suggestions? I was thinking I might try "muting" it with tea?

You would probably be able to overdye with Wilton's brown too, if the tea isn't dark enough.
I'm going to attemt to re-dye some yarn that I tried to dye pink, fuscia, and periwinkle, but it came out more like pepto-bismol, hot pink, and lavender (NOT a good combination!!!).

I used Fuscia acid dye but I didn't use enough of it. When I say hot pink, I mean this stuff is neon!

That is what I was trying to get this summer for a pair of shorts. Watch, I will probably have a friend ask for light pink in a soaker --- and then I will get hot pink!

I remember your posts on the Wool_Soaker_Group. Sorry that I didn't figure out this experiment until now. Well now at least you know for next summer :pink

Probably every knitter on the continenet knows about my failed quest for "pink"
This is the closest I ever got -- and it was after I quit trying!

Pam, you can use coffee as well as tea. Coffee gives a darker color and needs to be done while it's still hot.
