I've got about 10 projects scattered around the house, but the one I'm working on the most is a doily for my Grandma's 80th birthday. I'm about half done with it and it looks really pretty. Anyone else?

I just finished my soon-to-be-sister-in-law's bridal purse! I wish I had a pic; it's really gorgeous if I do say so myself.

Mostly right now I'm working on learning to knit (check out my first two projects in the gallery!), but I very sweetly and stupidly volunteered to do the ringbearers' pillows (there are two) for my brother's wedding as well. I have a crochet pattern for a BEAUTIFUL lacy pillow, but I'm not sure I can get +one+ done by the wedding (August 7!) much less two!

If I could find a good wool soaker pattern for crochet (rather than knit), I'd +so+ be doing that, but I just don't like the ones I've found.

The next project I want to work on is a three-strands-of-worsted round rug - again for my brother and SIL's house!

Hm... anybody else noticing a trend? Ah well, I only have one brother (and no sisters), and with any luck, he's only gonna get married once, right? Maybe in a few months I can get around to making myself something.

Or they'll get pregnant in Thailand, and it'll all be about the niece or nephew-to-be!

I made the ring bearer's pillow for my wedding - and yeah, that took forever! I didn't like any of the crochet soaker patterns out there either, so I made up my own. Hopefully I'll find the time soon to write it all down. :nut

ps - I like the quote in your sig.

Arwyn,
Have you tried converting a knit pattern you like to crochet?

Nope, not yet - the only soakers I've done so far in knit have been flat triangles, which I could easily do in crochet but would be kind of boring. My first knit soaker in the round will be Pam's - I can't wait for the class to start! :) Maybe I'll try converting that to a crochet pattern if I decide I like it (which I'm sure I will!).
