Ds's wonderful teacher has been in the process of adopting a little girl for over a year and a half form Guatamala and has just been informed she will be here on Wednesday. Yeah!!!
Now my dilema I gave away the blanket I knitted for her at Christmas. She is 1 1/2. What is a quick knit item that I can have finished by Tuesday?
Help?

Bulky blankie - lovey sized, stuffed bear/bunny. Combo of the two (http://www.lionbrand.com/patterns/50722.html)? Diagonal garter blankie, granny square blankie (crochet), bulky sweater (http://www.sweaterbabe.com/knitting-patterns/kids-short-sleeved-knit-cardigan.htm)? Lots of freebie patterns at Lion Brand (http://www.lionbrand.com/content-knittingPatternIndex.html?d=Infants)

Hat and mitts? LTK's Pixie hat is super cute!

Oh I love that blanket/lovey! Or maybe a sweet little hat like Miss Dashwood? (http://knitty.com/ISSUEwinter04/PATTmissdashwood.html)

I think I will make that lovey blanket, but I don't know what yarn to use out of my stash. I may have to go buy some tonight.
