Hi everyone :)

I already placed a huge order with Peace Fleece and I'd like to offer some for sale. I have Antarctica White, perfect for do-it-yourself dyeing. I'm asking $5.50 (PayPal) or $5.00 (moneyorder) a skein plus shipping from zip code 11542 (cheapest method).

Post here or PM me if you are interested.

Thanks for looking :mwah

ETA: I took out the word co-op :) And I changed the pricing if you want to send me a money order.

Ooh ooh me me! What size are the skeins?

Have you weighed the skeins to see how much shipping would be? :pink

Oops! I guess I should have added that info.

The skeins are 4 oz., worsted weight, approx 200 yds. I used 2 skeins for a pair med/lg pants and had some left over.

I guess my next question is, how big of an order and how many skeins are you willing to part with!

I just put two skeins in a box and it weighed approx. 11.5 oz. The most expensive shipping would be is about $3.00 to California (I'm in NY).

Is it still called a "co op" if it is not wholesale pricing?? I am not picking on ya Susan, I just want to know! :love

(I guess you're factoring in the shipping and the cost of box and whatnot.)

Maybe it's get a: "good deal by ordering with me", but that wasn't as easy to type ;)

I want at least 2 and maybe 4. When do you want payment? I'm in CA, so would shipping be about $6 (for 4 skeins)?

Actually you could get it priority because it would be under a pound. Anything under a pound can go cross country for $3.85.

4 skeins may or may not go for the $3.85...I just mailed out a bunch and some of them were slightly more.

That would put it right at 16 oz, wouldn't it. Didn't think about going over with the envelope ;) Good call!

I didn't realize it until I mailed a couple myself :pink

Since I already have the yarn, I can take payment whenever you have a chance (or until they run out ;) ). Shipping for 4 skeins to CA would be about $4.49.

Well, I am shocked by that paypay fee! Not that that is within our control.....everybody has to get their cut I suppose.

Is there anyway to avoid the paypal fee?

pmcgary
10-20-2004, 03:06 PM
not pay by pay pal I suppose! Sorry...Smart ass in me couldn't resist.....

I think with pp that is the fastest way for her to get payment - and know she has her money and the fastest way for customers in turn to get their stuff.

Unfortunately PayPal gets 2.9% + $0.30 of every transaction :(

The only way around it is to not accept credit cards, which as a WAHM is virtually impossible. And the only way to have two accts is to have two seperate checking accounts.

I really need to look into a better way to accept cc payments.

I should've been more direct....I have a business license and did a pre-sale *once* on soft star shoes....I am familiar with paypal policy....

I had two accounts, one connected with checking and another to my savings and obviously also separate email accts. as well. I think I was trying to give her a suggestion without typing one out....like a psychic vibe??? I mean to be affectionate/humorous, not sarcastic.

It's just when you're dealing with an item not terribly expensive in the first place, and the whole purpose is to save money, it's seems best to cut paypal out of the equation...

Yes, I suppose I should have posted a separate price for money orders :D

If you would like to order the yarn via money order, it will be $5.00 per skein.

I got my box today! It is great! Thanks Susan.....

And to think tonight I was going to PM you to see if you would email me when you shipped it.

I have never seen parcel post move so darned fast!!! (I have had stuff from Iowa take 2 weeks by parcel post....joking that they just sit the parcel near a post and wait for someone to pick it up....)

Thans Susan!!!! :mwah
