Will it Wick???

If I use Acrylic as part of the drawstring? Willthe drawstring part wick? Please let me know! :) :) I"m working on a new "secret" design.. :D

if its 100% acrylic I dont think it would.

I use 100% acrylic for soakers sometimes. DS has 3 soakers that are acrylic and he wears them overnight sometimes.

I dont think it would, but ive never used them together so someone who has might have a different answer?

I don't think wick, since it's plastic... it might stink if it gets that wet... but how wet does a drawstring get??

If it is just the draw string then you shouldn't have any problems at all. Like a pp said, how often does the drawstring of a soaker get wet? Not very. As far as acrylic getting wet, it should be just fine. I was told that using it for embellisments shouldn't mean any more washing or smelling then wool. But a full acrylic soaker would need to be washed more often then a wool one.

Yeah it might stink - I have a pair of wool pants that have a tag sewn in from the maker, no matter what that tag starts stinking with the first wear after a wash, and the wool doesn't smell like anything. :goodgrief

My guess has to do with felting and not wanting the drawstring to become one with the pants. :chin
