Hi, I just joined and purchased the perfection pants pattern. maybe I bit off more then I could chew but I had been doing so well with the free patterns I figured I could tackle this... ha!
Ok so I'm up to my increase row after the waistband and I have no idea which increase to use. I'm using knittinghelp.com and there are quite a few increases to choose from.
TIA!!!

Okay, here is my disclaimer..I haven't knit a pair of perfection pants in quite some time.
Generally if it matters what increase you use the pattern will tell you what one to use. I think the make one increase is probably the least visible. (and the k1 front and back is probably the easiest) So mostly it is your preference what to do.
I your case I would probably pick the one you think you can most easily do....NOne are terribly hard. And going from rib to stockinette stitch will probably 'hide' the increases somewhat anyway.

another question. can i increase over a few rows instead of doing all on the increase row as per the pattern?

You can do whatever you'd like. :) I don't see why it would cause a problem.

I think the reason all the increases are in one row is because the next row you start the short row shaping.

ok that is freaky! I came on here to ask another increase question; then saw this on my new posts list and for a split second I was thoroughly confused and thought maybe I posted it while watching tv and not really paying attenion. ROFL... freaky.

I think the pattern says to us M1 (make one) for the increase after the waist band, but it really is all personal preference! What ever looks nicest to you.
