View Full Version : 12" circular needles?

I've been thinking about getting 12" circular needles to do pant legs. How many stitches would be the minimum to work comfortably on size 7 needles?

Does anyone know if any other companies make them besides addi? I'd hate to spend $12 + shipping on them if I don't like them.

Thanks in advance!!!!

I've done 7" legs, 35-38 stitches per leg on the addi turbos. I think you'll like them, they are very comfortable to work with. Of course I like addi's in general though.

Wow! That's pretty tiny! I was figuring my legs usually run about 50 sts or so and I was worried about it being too tight. I think it may be worth my while to get a pair - I like circ's sooooo much better than DPN's because they go so much faster.

I think addi mainly makes the 12"s. Someone said Clover does, too.

www.showersofflowers.com carries a bunch. My mommy got me 12" 8s at a store in Boulder, Co when we were on our trip. They're great!

You know what? Mine looked at me like I was smoking crack and didn't know what I was talking about. She said "are you SURE that Addis makes them in 12s?" and Addis are her faves, too.

My not so Local yarn store said they have 3s & 7s in right now. She put me on the mailing list so I could get notice of their bday sale this month. So, hopefully I'll get 20% off.

I've had great luck ordering from http://www.paradisefibers.com/. She stocks all the sizes of Addis. Great for my Addi addiction :LOL. Of course I just tried to order a size 10 12" only to discover it isn't made... :moon

julia, what is their shipping like, pricewise? I'm too tired to feel like looking around to see if it is on the site. But I need 3 needles, and 10% off is nice. Plus, they're slightly less than most other places anyway

shipping is really good, and the woman who runs it, Kate, is really sweet. I've re-ordered twice through email now without having to go through the site. It's nice to be able to email her and have it be that easy ;) the first time I requested priority shipping and she had no problem with that, otherwise I think she uses first class, and actual charges

Thanks so much for posting this!! Her prices are great and she says she only charges actual shipping and you can get first class USPS, which would be only about $1 for a pair of 12" addis.

i think any good LYS lady is crabby and old school while being nurturing and innovative. it's their job :)

that said, she told me "double points. you can do anything with double points. who needs 12" circs?"
