I have googled and froogled and searched on ebay and I can't find material that has spf built in. I am wanting to make a sling to wear in the swimming pool that is sun proof. Any good material sites that might carry such a fabric?

It's called solarveil fabric (http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&client=firefox-a&rls=org.mozilla%3Aen-US%3Aofficial&hs=DNQ&q=solarveil+fabric&btnG=Search).

I don't have any details, but I know that some mamas have bought solarveil through a co-op. I believe it was run through a yahoogroup. You might want to search there.

There is also Solarweave. I believe there is a solarveil coop going on now here: http://groups.yahoo.com:80/group/solarveilcoop/ (http://groups.yahoo.com/group/solarveilcoop/)

Here's a break down of Solarweave v. Solarveil

Solarveil versus Solarweave
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
cheaper more expensive
not many colors a bigger variety of colors
can be used for many carrier types probably good only for MTs
scratchy (but some can soften up) smoother
approx. SPF 20 SPF 30/40+
grippier slippier

Thank you girls. I when to hotslings (where i bought my first sling) and it said what the material was. It is a little pricey, but way cheaper to make then to buy. Now, I just need to get on the ball and make one before swimming lessons start.

I am waiting to be approved for membership for this coop. How can you tell if a coop is real and not just someone taking advantage? Has anyone ordered through this coop? Thanks
