making the second knuck

This may sound so ridiculous....

I've nearly finished knuck #1 (left hand?) and am contemplating knuck #2 (right hand?) and I just can't visualize how I'm going to lay it out for the joining row. I have a feeling after some research (web surfing and blog-viewing) that I somehow messed up the thumb gusset. I have the right number of decreases, but the gusset only shows on one side...palm? back of hand? I am so confused! To rephase in a slightly less obtuse way...I have an assymetrical thumb gusset on knuck #1, making it obviously for only one had or the other. Help, please.

You did mess up the thumb gusset, I'm afraid, so telling you how to fix it isn't that easy. The knucks should be more or less interchangeable.

Thanks, Rothane. I did end up frogging back to the beginning of the thumb and redoing it. I'd miscounted somewhere. All fixed.
