Hi everyone!
Just came across these gorgeous knucks gloves tonight while googling for a pattern for fingerless gloves..... forever hopeful that one day I will find one that even I will understand! I have been knitting for years and am a pretty good knitter, but just can't do anything on double pointed needles! Arghhh...:shake I bought a pair recently and tried really hard to follow a couple of internet demonstrations for gloves/socks. No luck :nut :nut
This is so frustrating. And no these knucks! I want them!!!! My daughter wants them!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The possibilies are endless.....
I am in London, is there anyone with dpn talent in London who wants to give me some needling tuition? I'd pay!
What else is there? Is there a glove and sock workshop in London anyone knows of?
Any help appreciated? :pig
Happy Knitting you lucky things!

Hi Pinkmilk (is that a Charlie and Lola reference? - we're huge Charlie and Lola fans here too). You can easily do the knucks on one long circ (magic loop) or on two shorter circs (google for socks on two circs) if you really don't want to use dpns - I don't use dpns either but all patterns for knitting small circumferences in the round can be easily adapted to either of the above methods.

I'm in Cheshire so a bit far away for irl tuition. Sarah Styles (finandshaysmum on this forum) is in London though. Drop her a pm and she might be able to get together with you.

Hope you stick around here anyway - it's a great forum :D.

Mrs Flipmode (hehe... cute!),
yes, Charlie and Lola have literally taken over our lives. If you see pinkmilk on any other forum, its likely to be me too :D .
Thanks for the tip, I will try to find the mum in London you mentioned.
Who knows, she might not be too far?!
I went on amazon today and went a bit nuts, ordering three books on knitting with circulars or dpn - completely bonkers! I have always knitted with circulars anyway, just not in the round! And socks, gloves, mitts etc..... just leave me in despair. I said to my husband today, I felt so desperate to think I might never ever know how to learn - he thought I had finally flipped and I don't say that lightly if you know what I mean! :pezfrog
So thanks again for your kind post. Have a nice weekend!!! We've just opened a nice bottle of wine and now only have to try and get these kids to bed and relax with Ugly Betty (recorded)....
