decorating hemp diapers....

OK fabric artists.....

I am going to be making hemp terry diapers for my little one. Originally I was going to just have them all be natural and let my soakers be the star of the show.

Yeah right, I'm as likely to make something unembellished as I am to give up eating french fries.

I'd like to do fabric painting or stamping on them. Actually, I am going to let my 11 yo very crafty twin girls do it. (They've knitted her a bunch of hats already and they need a new project)

Any advice?

What paint are you using? Do a sample first. Give them scraps to paint on and put it through the wash a few times to see how it does. Remember to do the paint in thin layers or else it'll usually just flake off. That's all I can think of right now :LOL

You can stamp using Dharma Procion dyes. I'm sure you can use others, too, but I think dye stamping is cool b/c it isn't stiff like paint. Of course, I've only done it once.
