We live in Fort Lauderdale right now. Hurricanes suck. :lol:

I'm from Atlanta (Cobb county, really) - most of my family is there. I'm really looking forward to getting back to Atlanta; I've been homesick for almost 8 years now.

I love it here, I am from the DC area, and get homesick for there too. SO I unmderstand completely....

I dont like in ATL but Im kinda close, I like about an hour and a half away in AL about 20min from the georgia line. I like to frequent douglasville.

Douglasville is where I would prefer to move to. That or Paulding county. Yes, I know they're "country" and I'm not a country-girl, but it's so close to my family and I think I'd like to get away from the busyness for a bit, yk? Of course, dh is going to a job fair in Gwinnett county, so who knows where we're going to end up.

I'm in Atlanta too, well actually Gwinnett County but DH and I are hoping to move to Jackson County in about a year.
I am also from the DC area originally and really miss it up there but GA is my new home.

I just learned to knit and I'm hoping to pick up a few pointers.

I am orginally from Sterling, VA in Loudon County and also lived in Leesburg. Just down Rte 7 from Mclean. I miss it terribly but it is so expensive there and so overcrowded. I always say it was an awesome place to live until everyone else figured that out too :(

Cool, I am from Annapolis, and my DH is from Manassas. The reson we live here is that both of us were working 3 miles from our houses and we couldn't agree on where to live when things got serious, so we uprooted and moved here. I like it, but am homesick too. It is just soooo pricey (the other reason we moved here) my best friend just bought a house 50 miles from Richmond down 95 (commuter hell). 4 br/1 bath and 1000 sq ft and an acre for $170k. The middle of cotton picking nowhere....I could go on praising/complaining about DC....This thread is about Atlanta, so I'll quit....
