I just purchased the New Conceptions Baby Essentials pattern and I'm going to try my hand at making some baby clothes for our little guy coming soon. But I'm having trouble finding the right materials in my area. I'm finding a lot of kiddie print cottons, but I'm looking more for jersey or interlock materials.

For you mamas that sew, where are you finding your fabrics? Any online favorites you can point me in the direction of?

I'm with Lisa... our local 1/2 and 1/2 yarn/fabric store (it's kind of more specialized fabrics... they're a little more expensive, but not too bad at all) has a lot of GREAT fabrics I can't find at the bigger stores.

I am a part of some good co-ops for organics, diaper fabrics. Children jersey clothing fabrics shouldn't be so troublesome, but they kind of are.

Maybe look here (http://search.ebay.com/search/search.dll?MfcISAPICommand=GetResult&ht=1&shortcut=0&from=R41&query=knit+fabric&category0=&Submit=Search)?

www.sewingmamas.com, in the seamstress boutique :). At *least* half of my fabric stash is from other mamas there (there are a couple that live close to the LA fabric district, and they pass on the good deals from time to time).

This place has some great prints, haven't ordered through them though- http://zoodads.com/

Hope that helps!
