She called me this evening and asked me to let everyone know that her area is in a power outage right now. The power went out last night in a bad wind storm, and there is no estimate of when it will be back. In fact, school was cancelled for her today.

She will be enjoying Chanukkah with her family starting today, and when the power comes back she will respond to anyone who has contacted her.

My friend in Portland was telling me about the storms and I saw a little about it on the news. I hope that they are staying warm and get their power back soon.

Pam - glad you have power back! We got ours back yesterday and thank heavens the freezer stayed cold; our fridge is a loss though. We still have no cable/internet, and we still have a tree on our building.
