tart hat sizing discussion

Okay I am off to the local yarn store today so I printed off the pattern

Has anyone read through it yet? I need to look at it to determine if I can increase the size. My "baby" is almost 2 1/2 and I probably need an extra inch to get more wear out of it for her.

I'm guessing that you can increase it, but it's going to take some figuring - due to the bobble pattern. I've never done a knitted bobble pattern, but you'll probably have to figure out the # of stitches in the pattern & then make your increases a multiple of that #. There are a bunch of decreases in the bobble pattern to make the top of the hat come to a "point". I don't think those will be as hard to do, once you've figured out the bobble repeat.
