I'll do a separate post about this, but we south sound folks meet Monday nights at Tully's in downtown Tacoma (9th and Broadway) from 6-8pm. Anyone is welcome!
My favorite LYS is Fibers, Etc. on Opera Alley in Tacoma. It reminds me of shops in Ireland--located in an old, brick building on a corner with high ceilings and every nook and cranny filled with beautiful wool or trinkets. It's only open M, W, F from 2-6 or by appointment. It'd be a good place to go to before the SnB!

Ahhhh sounds fun ! I wish we lived closer though as from Woodinville to Tacoma would be quite the haul. My son has Kindergarten at noon too which makes it impossible.
Anyone live on the Eastside area? Bellevue, Redmond, Kirkland, etc that knows of knitting groups that meet on Thursdays? I would love to get together during the weekdays if anyone knows of any place or something :butterfly

I think I might just do that. I am being egged on by some other friends because I have this weird anxiety about meeting new people :chickytu: silly eh?
I am starting on a new super cute poncho from morehouse farms , too. You guys bring knitting stuff right? Or is it just a coffee get together to chat?

We all bring projects. I have the most experience of the group and I just learned in May. We are definitely not an intimidating group, though we tend to be a little loud :talktalk I can identify with the new people anxiety!

We meet every Thursday. How to get there:
Head south on Meridian toward South Hill. It's in the strip mall on the left side just after you go through the light at 43rd. There is a Gart Sports, Party City, and Michael's in the strip mall.
We met there for the first time last night - we used to be at the Borders just up the road. Anyway, one of the baristas came out to see what we were all knitting. She's a knitter too and may join us next time! She's teaching some of the other baristas to knit, too. Knitters are EVERYWHERE! ;)
