Kool Aid lemon ice?

I mistakenly bought like 10 packets of lemon ice instead of lemonade (they had it behind the lemonade which apparently they were running out of, and I just grabbed a hunk). :goodgrief It's white. Anything I can do with it? Will it lighten other colors? When mixed with water it stays white. :chin

I did this once and just added some yellow food coloring and it worked.

the yellow food coloring will work w/out KA though so the KA is kind of a waste.

I have a friggin VAT of lemon ice. I did the same thing. I guess just suck it up (not literally, though. That would hurt)

There should be some sort of warning label on it.

Funny you should mention this.
I bought the Lemonade last night to make play dough and NO color appeared :emb So I just made it Strawberry Kiwi Color instead :pink

I did the same thing!!! Which was how I discovers that food coloring works just as well and that yellow food coloring means business so don't use too much. But do use a lot of vinger.

I do drink KA, lot's of it. I hate plain water, always have, so I have to have some sort of taste to my liquids. KA is the cheapest route. $.05 a glass or expensive Propel water at $1.50 a glass.

Yes, the lemon ice and the green apple ice one (can't remember the exact name) are really gross. I think there is a blue one too in that same "new" flavor. All equally gross and it leaves a film taste in your mouth. *gag*

LOL I havent drank any of the green aple but I did dye with it, if you use a lot you get a REALLY neon green, if you use a little you get a faint green yellow, I used it in my mardi gras pants and like it a lot.

Nice to know that some of these KA have a "useful" purpose even if they taste like crap. I want to try that neon for making play dough- anyone here tried that?

My mom drinks KA and got really frustrated with them a couple of years ago. They reworked the "formula" so her method of mixing (not sure what she does, but she knows exactly how much sugar she likes!) didn't taste right.

She even called the 800 number to complain. Basically she had to experiment to find the right amount of sugar for the "improvements" KA tried to make.
