They both still need embellishment but I'm so happy with them already that I wanted to share now. :)

Here's the pic I took of the first one when I finished it -- the colors are more accurate in this picture than in the other two pics. These are for my dear friend and will say "BABY WINS" at her request.

I used Fearless Fibers yarn (http://www.etsy.com/view_item_sold_anon.php?listing_id=423791&transaction_id=149351) that my friend bought and had sent to me, it's DK weight alpaca and wool. I have a ton of it left over to send back to my friend -- seriously, I could make at least another 2 pairs out of what's left.

Here are my knucks... I am going through the hardest time in my life right now personally, end of a marriage, much depression and medical issues... my knucks will say "LIVE LIFE" to remind me to keep doing so and not give up.

I purposely moved the thumb decreases on my knucks out beyond the thumb gusset marker and I'm glad I did. My hands are a little bigger around than the measurements I had for my friend, but not quite big enough for the men's gloves, so I figured that by moving the decreases it would allow for more room -- and it did, it worked out perfectly. My friend's knucks (the top ones) fit me fine but mine have just a tiny bit more stretch around the thumb and I just like the fit better for me.

Editing to add that my knucks are made from Rowan Felted Tweed in Dragon. I love this yarn, love the colors, love the weight!

I'm halfway done with a pair for my youngest dd from Rowan Felted Tweed in Ginger(these go SO fast) and another pair for a surprise for another friend. :)

wonderful work! tell me again how you adapted the decreases, i'm not following. Others may want to copy your innovation, and I'm not sure I get what you did, exactly.

Well you know how the directions say to knit to 2 stitches before the first thumb marker, k2tog, knit to second marker, ssk? Well I knit to the first marker, ssk, knit to 2 stitches before the second marker, k2tog.

It angled the decreased out toward the palm rather than back toward the base of the thumb. Not a whole lot of difference but enough of an ease in fit that it suits me better. :)

Awesome pattern Pamela! Thank you!
