I've never grafted before so I'm feeling a little....intimidated at the moment. I'm also a bit confused... the directions say to use the cast on stitches to make a smooth transition, but how do I tell which stitches were the cast on ones?

I'm sooo close to having these pants finished, someone please tell me I can do it?

I've never done picky pants, but are you grafting the crotch? You should have live stitches on two needles. Then you'll need to cut your working yarn (maybe 12"?) and thread your embroidery needle. I'll see if I can find you the pictoral that helped me learn kitchner...brb!

The grafting tutorials on
www.knittinghelp.com
and
www.knittingatknoon.com
helped me to graft perfectly the first time I tried. They are excellent! I also really love the article and pictures on grafting at
www.knitty.com

Thank you for the tutorials!t's so much easier to grasp the concept with videos rather than pictures!!!! Now to find a quiet moment to actually try my hand at it!

Any have any tips on finding a quiet moment with a 2 year old dd running rampant? ;)

I did it!

I finally had a few quiet moments after dd went to bed last night and after one bone-head mistake (I was making things way more complicated than they actually were probably due to lack of sleep) I got it and now I can't even tell where I did the grafting! I am soooooo proud of myself! Yay!
