I want to make one for my mom after I make mine. She doesn't care to hand wash things. What fiber/brands of yarn in that fiber would you guys recommend?
Thanks!

What about Plymouth Encore Worsted? It comes in lots of pretty colors, too! It is 75% acrylic and 25% wool. :) You can google for color cards. I've seen it in person and while it is definitely not like lovely wool, it is machine washable.
Or what about Cascade Superwash? It is pretty easy to take care of.

I 'think' we determined that Encore worsted would be to thick....
You might want to check the forums...there is a whole section of yarn recommendations for that.....I can't remember the heading...maybe spiral sweater options.......

Silly me-- I just order some from Katie - it is going out in the mail tomorrow...I am plotting how I will dye the stuff......I know WHAT I want- just not sure HOW to do that......esp. when I have never dyed the superwash stuff before....should be fun....
You might see how much Katie has left b/c she had a great price on it...I got all my yarn and shipping for under $45 (of course I don't live far from her so shipping isn't too bad)

Who is this lovely Katie you mention? I'll have to chuch that out! How many skeins would you recommend? I know the yardage will be a bit different when working with all one color because I'm guessing that when it's done in the pinwheel rounds that some of the colors have leftovers, right?
