one question! do you think its better to knit the fingers on dpn's vs long circs? you think i'll get gaps/laddering with circs?

I've done it both ways and they both work fine. I like knitting the fingers on dpns because I like to swirl it around my finger as I knit it.

I have a related question - I have knitted the fingers using two circulars as I drive myself to distraction with dpns. This is the first time I have used the 2C method and it has worked fine, but now I'm unsure how to go about joining the fingers. I'm terrified of starting, messing it up, and having to reknit four fingers! Does anyone have any tips?
Thanks!

Maybe try using the Magic loop method? (one long circ)

I did it! Using two circulars, I'm down to the ribbing on the first glove and it fits perfectly. I'm so pleased with myself - this is the first item I've knitted that isn't basically a rectangle!

Can anyone tell me how to use 2 circulars for the whole knuck? I have never done magic loop, but I planned to use circulars for the fingers and figured I could do the whole thing that way.
Thanks
Trish

Hello
I prefer 2 circs to dpn's anyday on any circular project. I hate ladders and find them easier to control with circs. You mentioned that you did it with 2 circulars? did you only need 2? I was trying to figure out how to do it. You would still need to "rest" the fingers on the separate neeldes wouldn't you? I'd love to know how if you'd like to share.
Thanks!

Trish, have you used two circs for a sock? Magic loop is awesome too. There are a bunch of online magic loop tutorials. Have you checked anything out yet?

Hi, thanks for the link (which I have had for a long time) I had a really big major brainfart. One of those things where you look at your hands before you even start and say pitifully....wow. My teenagers say "wow" as slang meaning "how stupid" Anyhoo....popped off my very first 2 pairs in less than an hour on 2 needles. I'm making many pairs of different colors etc and will worry about embelishing later. My daughter ran off with my first pair before I could take a picture! She didn't wait for the words she wants. Thanks for such a great pattern!! So many awsome possibilities. A very non-sarcastic Wow to you!:D
